Promoting Diversity and Inclusion
'In a time of drastic change it is the learners who inherit the future. The learned usually find themselves equipped to live in a world that no longer exists.' - Eric Hoffer in 'The Ordeal of Change'
Discovery Day with the Diversity & Inclusion Barometer
McKinsey's 1997 report 'The War for Talent' stressed the importance of attracting, retaining and promoting leaders from diverse backgrounds in organizations; where diversity can refer to differences in age, culture/ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, race, mental/physical ability and organizational role. Despite this many communities and organizations still struggle when it comes to promoting diversity and inclusion.
The Diversity & Barometer Barometer and the associated 1-day group discovery process is ideal for an community or organization who would like to 'get a feel' for how they are managing diversity today and how they might manage it more effectively in the future. It can also be used to review the impact of an ongoing or recently completed initiative or audit focused on promoting greater diversity and inclusion in the organization. The event can be conducted with small or large groups of 10 to 200 people.

Cross-Cultural Training Programs
Clarion Learning delivers cross-cultural training programs for global organizations operating in the Asia Pacific region both on a culture-general and culture-specific basis. Our learning events are designed for managers and business professionals who wish to understand how culture affects their interactions with their international business partners: e.g. deadlines, communication and leadership styles, decision-making processes, team dynamics and social interactions and then take steps to deal with their differences more effectively and create sustainable business results.
Research suggests that 70% of failures in international joint-ventures can be attributed to interpersonal and intercultural misunderstandings and conflict rather than commercial or financial difficulties. Our team has delivered programs designed to help business professionals to live, work and do business in the United States, China, Japan, Germany, the United Kingdom and India.
Diversity Training
The business case for diversity is well-documented. Diversity is not just about compliance and equality. Diversity is great for recruitment, retention and profit. Organizations that are rated by business analysts as top companies to work for by women and minority groups are also increasing their bottom lines. Diversity has been proven to increase creativity and drive innovation.
The objective of this program is to help people who think differently to work together and create extraordinary results for shareholders, customers, employees and the community.
